PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME LETTER

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of our families to La Mesa Elementary School for the start of the 2017/2018 school year. I am very proud to have served with this staff and community and I look forward to building an even stronger connection between the school and families.

We have had hundreds of volunteers and thousands of hours of service on our campus this last year and we are hoping to keep this tradition alive. Please ask for information about volunteering and complete a volunteer form in the main office. You can also get more information at the La Mesa PTA website or contact the PTA at lamesapta@gmail.com

We have been working very hard and have established a strong foundation to support you and your children here at La Mesa. We are fortunate to have multiple support systems in place to ensure that your child is physically and emotionally safe. We will also ensure that your child has access to opportunities that support a balanced educational experience by offering Physical education, science, art, music, theater, technology, and school leadership opportunities through the Anchored for Life and Student to Student Programs. We will grow and improve daily, together.

Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten enrollment is underway. If you have or know of a child who turns 5 before September 1 of this upcoming 2017-18 school year, he/she is ready to enroll in kindergarten. PTA CORNER

Hello Faculty and Parents!

My name is Lori Huddleston, and I am the new president for La Mesa Elementary PTA.

The start of the school year is also the beginning of new opportunities, positive memories, and educational gains for our children! My hope is that this PTA will be the best in memory! The impact of parents and teachers working together is immeasurable, and YOUR involvement is the only way for our PTA to become successful! I have lived in lovely Monterey for over a year, and have enjoyed this time on the west coast. I am a Navy wife of 11 years, and have 3 daughters all attending La Mesa.

Please feel free to contact us at lamesapta@gmail.com and please visit lamesapta.com to find out what is happening for the 2017-18 school year!

Thank you for support!
